Despite dread warnings to the contrary, the weather stayed fine through most of the May Bank Holiday! But boy, did that wind blow! Rumour had it we’d play outside, then inside – in the event, we split the difference and played in a gazebo which was open onto the beer garden. What more pleasant place to be on a sunny Sunday afternoon? Protected from the howling gale, most of us escaped with our music unscathed – just as well really as the river looked none too warm in the early Spring. The Bateman’s Brewery Visitor Centre was busy, as you might expect in the midst of a four day beer and sausage festival with the adjoining caravan site fully populated. A great start to a summer season of playing in and around Lincolnshire!
